Information for Counsellors 

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for teachers is jointly sponsored  and overseen by the Department of Education, the Conseil Scolaire Francophone Provincial (CSFP), and the NLTA. It is in place to assist teachers who may be experiencing personal or work-related problems that could affect work performance. It is designed to provide confidential help at the earliest possible time before problems become more serious.

All counsellors must be pre-approved by the EAP for teachers to be eligible for coverage.

Eligibility criteria:

• Minimum of five years of post-graduate counselling experience in a clinical setting.
• Extensive experience in mental health assessment, counselling, and case management.
• Therapists cannot be employed by NLSchools or Conseil Scolaire Francophone Provincial (CSFP).

• Counsellor Invoice Form
• Teacher Verification Form
  *All invoices must have a completed Teacher Verification Form. Verification must be attached to the billing invoice in order to be processed. Invoices that are submitted without this requirement will not be approved.
